On some SynScan hand controls, the voltage reading under menu "Utility\Show Information\Power Voltage" is much higher than the true power supply voltage.
In such cases, the users can follow the instructions below to solve this problem.

Step 1. Load the firmware "FixForHigherVoltageReading.ssf" to the SynScan hand control, the same way as loading a regular SynScan hand control firmware.

Step 2. Restart the SynScan hand control. The LCD will display "Press <ENTER> to fix."

Step 3. Press the ENTER button on the SynScan hand control, wait for the LCD to display "Finished."

Step 4. Reload the SynScan firmware(version 3.35or higher) firmware to the SynScan hand control.

Step 5. Restart the SynScan hand control, now the voltage reading should be correct.

Note:
1. Make sure that the voltage reading on your hand control is in fact higher than normal, before applying the above update.

2. If you apply the above update on a normal hand control, the voltage reading will be much lower than the correct value.
   In such case, repeat the above update again. The LCD will display "Press <ENTER> to UNDO." in Step 2.
