UPGRADE NOTES

This file contains the release notes for each firmware upgrade.
Please read all notes down to the firmware version currently installed in your
mount.

WARNING: If you update to a 2.x version a mount with a 1.x firmware, all
position settings will be lost and you will have to start with a new alignment.

Upgrade notes for GM QCI & HPSseries mounts- software version 2.8.17
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now the mount support a "Remote assist" modality. To use it, you must contact
the customer support in advance. Then make sure that the mount is able to reach
the Internet using its LAN interface, and select from the menu
Settings->Network->Remote Assist. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Upgrade notes for GM QCI & HPSseries mounts- software version 2.8.15

For the GM1000HPS, GM2000HPS and GM4000HPS mounts the synchronization commands
(:CM, :CMR) have been updated to allow using the synchronization function to
input additional points for the pointing model.
This changes also the function of the long-enter press on the keypad.
To set the synchronization function use the function in the menu
Drive->Sync refines.

Upgrade notes for GM QCI & HPSseries mounts- software version 2.8.14

This version supports the updated altitude and altazimuth adjustment system
with the correct number of knob revolutions for adjusting the polar axis in
the menu Alignment->Align Info in for GM2000HPS mounts from S/N.20001011.

Now the user is forced to restart the 2-Stars or 3-Stars alignment after a
Polar Align or Ortho Align, as this is the correct thing to do to avoid
errors.

The "MANUAL MOVE" message when moving by hand has been removed.

The dome interface has been changed for better responsiveness. Tracking
parameters have been modified for improved tracking behaviour.
