would it be possible for you to install a COM object so that I can open it, input an image and returning the plate solution?

Yes, I have this planned for a next release as well (probably in v0.0.4) , a company producing telescope mounts showed interest in the app ability to plate solve as well via a com. So I think I will create a com and tcp/socket level simple protocol to interact with the app from outside as well. If you can think of any functions that might be usefull to access via the com please let me know.
