Ciao ragazzi, solo ora leggo questo post, volevo chiedervi alcune info riguardanti questo programma, ovvero Guide 8.0.
Che voi sappiate, siccome Guide so che può governare anche le montature dei telescopi, e in grado eventualmente anche di misurare l'angolo approssimativo di centro lastra una volta collegato alla montatura?
Charont e fin orb sono ancora disponibili che voi sappiate anche per le piattaforme Windows XP o superiori, o si sono fermati alla versione DOS? Questi due programmi abbinati con Guide secondo voi sono affidabili per eventuali misure astrometriche o rimangono inferiori ad Astrometrica?

Charon _is_ still used by some. It's been updated more recently than 2001, but not much:
just to include some new star catalogues such as UCAC-3 and UCAC-4.
However, if you are starting out in astrometry, I would recommend using something else.
I haven't updated Charon much because I think other people are writing better astrometry software, and saw no reason to repeat their efforts. I suggest you consider:
