Dear colleague,
The ESAC Science Data Centre (ESDC) is pleased to announce the roll out of the first version of ESASky :
http://sky.esa.intThis new web service provides direct access to public data from ESA Astronomy missions from a simple web interface that requires neither authentication nor prior knowledge of any of the missions. It uses Aladin lite, from the Centre de Données astronomiques de Strasbourg. ESASky allows one to visualise and retrieve public high-level science-ready imaging data products and source catalogs for the following missions: INTEGRAL, XMM-Newton, SUZAKU, HST, Hipparcos, ISO, Herschel and Planck.
It will be kept up to date with the latest data releases from ESA Astronomy missions and will include spectroscopic data and time-domain features in upcoming versions. The ESDC is also working on similar interfaces for Planetary and Heliophysics missions that will be announced at later times.
